Dr. Sandeep Lohan

I am working as Senior Research Scientist at Infextious Therapeutics. The research themes underpinning my interests are of a multidisciplinary nature and fall broadly under the umbrella of medicinal chemistry. My current research is focused on the development of cationic macrocyclic peptides as novel antimicrobial agents. During my doctoral research, I have designed structurally diverse peptide-based molecules and conducted detailed examination of their antimicrobial profile. As part of my previous professional appointment in an India based pharmaceutical industry, I gained extensive experience of pre-clinical development of peptides for various therapeutic applications. I thoroughly enjoy my research activities at various academic and industrial levels and always like to work in an environment where multiple tools are used for studying a problem of interest.
